A smart vision microscope (also named as CMM) is a device used in manufacturing and assembly processes to test a part or assembly against the design intent. By precisely recording the X, and Y coordinates of the target, points are generated which can then be analyzed for the construction of features. A smart vision microscope is a device for measuring the physical geometrical characteristics of an object. This machine may be manually controlled by an operator or a computer. Optical probes are lens-CCD-systems and / or laser probes instead of touching the material, which change CMMs to measuring microscopes or multi sensor measuring machines. The image of the surface (captured by a contrast between black and white zones) will be shown. |
